Grass roots

Even earlier, Paddy Fitzpatrick — their great-grandfather — ran a successful quarrying and contracting business in South Co. Down, building roads across Ireland in the early 1900s.
Moving into the 90’s- The decade Dane and Caolann were born. Their father Ciaran Fitzpatrick was the Powerscreen dealer for Ireland and Uncle Adrian Dougan established Powerstone the Polish Powerscreen dealership. Paul Dougan (Uncle) ran a successful crushing and screening hire company in the UK.
The boys grew up surrounded by machinery, phone calls, and car boots packed with road maps and brochures. It was clear early on that their path was already paved.
In 2016, Dane spent a year in Christchurch playing rugby for Shirley Rugby Club — and fell in love with the Kiwi way of life. After returning to the UK, he joined Blue Southern (Powerscreen South of England), where he honed his skills alongside industry veterans. But New Zealand called him back. He joined Crush & Screen Ltd, hiring out crushers, screeners, and attachments — building strong customer relationships across the country. It was this experience that sparked the idea for Rokbro: sourcing and importing quality used machinery from Europe.
Meanwhile, Caolann was carving his own path. In 2015, he moved to New York and spent a year in the crushing game before heading to Sydney, Australia. There, a chance meeting with industry legend Roy Watterson changed everything. The pair hit it off immediately — and in true Roy fashion, Caolann was given until 7pm that same day to decide whether to join the Lincom “The A Team” in Brisbane.
